Supporters

UFP Toledo is grateful to these project supporters:

AIGA, the professional association for design, stimulates thinking about design, demonstrates the value of design and empowers the success of designers at each stage of their careers. AIGA’s mission is to advance designing as a professional craft, strategic tool and vital cultural force. Founded in 1914, AIGA remains the oldest and largest professional membership organization for design, is a nonprofit, 501(c)(3) educational institution and represents over 20,000 people nationally. The AIGA Toledo chapter was established on October 1, 2007, with the intent to connect Toledo area designers locally and to make a difference right here – where we live and work. In May 2010, the chapter will host an AIGA National Design Educators Conference.

The Urban Forest Project Toledo is funded by the City of Toledo's 1% for Art Program, administered by the Arts Commision of Greater Toledo. With a mission to develop and promote the visual, performing and literary arts in the Northwest Ohio community, the Arts Commission of Toledo works tirelessly to provide broad access to the arts through initiatives involving business and education. For 50 years, they have provided quality arts programming and services to those in the metropolitan Toledo area. They are the longest standing arts commission in the state of Ohio.

Off Contact, the official UFP Toledo banner printer, is a company that has been servicing the Screen Printing and Graphic Communication industry for over sixteen years. They provide high quality full color digital prints and screen prints and specialize in printing large format graphics on 3M™ materials; i.e. Controltac™ and Scotchcal™ vinyls. They also produce durable vinyl banners, backlit signs and quality posters.

Space237, is the official gallery sponsor of UFP Toledo. Space 237 is a place where both artist and art enthusiast can interact and have an impact on what we may ultimately become, while reflecting upon the times and attitudes, causes and concerns that often require the peculiarly sensitive eye of the artist to synthesize and define in ways foreign to most of us. Space 237 houses 2 art galleries, ClaySpace, an active ceramics studio and Intrinsic Space, a gift area of unique items hand made by artists. We are located in downtown Toledo, Ohio at 237 N. Michigan Ave.

SWEAT, Summer Workshop for Experimentation and Thought, is an independent and non-profit collaborative workshop founded by Amy Fidler and Jenn Stucker in the summer of 2007. Our goal is to develop projects that will provide the opportunity to collaborate, create compelling poignant work and engage the community. Learn more about the SWEAT workshop and view images from past and present workshops online at www.sweatspace.com.
