Meet our national and international award-winning judges:
James Victore

James Victore is a self-taught, independent artist and designer. Some of his design clients include Aveda, Apple, Yamaha, the New York Times and the School of Visual Arts. Awards include an Emmy for television animation, a gold medal from the Broadcast Designers’ Association, the grand prix from the Brno (Czech Republic) Biennale, and gold and silver medals from the Art Directors Club (New York). Victore’s designs are in the permanent collections of the Palais du Louvre, Paris; the Library of Congress, Washington DC, the Museum für Gestaltung, Zurich; and the Stedelijk Museum, Amsterdam among others. His work is regularly featured in magazines around the world, and recently a book of his design work was published in China. He teaches graphic design at the School of Visual Arts in New York City.
Marian Bantjes

Marian Bantjes, a Canadian-based illustrator and designer, work has included projects for Saks Fifth Avenue, Stefan Sagmeister, Michael Bierut/Pentagram, the AIGA, Winterhouse, Bruce Mau Design, Rick Valicenti (Thirst), Print Magazine, wired, The New York Times, Wallpaper, The Guardian, seed, FontShop, Houghton-Mifflin, Little, Brown & Co., Knopf Books, Young & Rubicam Chicago, and numerous other publications and companies. Her work has been published in 20+ books, 30+ magazines, and she has been an invited speaker to many conferences and schools, including a main stage speaker at the 2007 AIGA National Conference in Denver. She is a Member of Alliance Graphique Internationale (AGI) and a professional member of the Society of Graphic Designers of Canada (MGDC).
Chris Rubino

Chris Rubino is a New York City-based artist/designer whose work has been exhibited in Europe, Japan, Hong Kong and the U.S. He recently has created designs & illustrations for such clients as The New York Times, Banana Republic & The NY Public Theater. He also runs a Brooklyn-based silk-screen studio named Studio18Hundred that makes limited edition posters for bands such as The Rapture, The Brian Jonestown Massacre and Vetiver. A series of Rubino’s posters has recently been added to the permanent collection at the Museum of Design in Zurich. In 2006 he was chosen as an ADC Young Gun.
